The source guide

Made here.
Ready to go places.

Your finished website comes with its source. Here’s how to take the next step.

01Find your download

  1. Open your project from Your projects.
  2. Wait for the website version to finish. Review it in the canvas and switch between desktop and mobile previews.
  3. Choose Download source ZIP in the ready message. Keep the ZIP somewhere you can find it.

02Open your website

Extract the ZIP before working with its files. Read the instructions included with that version, including its README if present. Keep the folder structure intact so the website can find its images, media, and styles. Some features need a local web server and may not work by opening an HTML file directly.

03Share or host your source

You can give the extracted folder to a developer, add it to a repository, or use a host that supports the generated website. Follow the archive’s instructions and your host’s setup process. Review the website and its content before making it public. For help with additional features or finishing touches, request custom work.

04If something goes wrong

Keep your project open and retry a failed download. If your session expired, sign in again and return to the project. Download access requires membership in the workspace that owns the project. If a version is still building, wait for the ready message; a failed build does not replace the last successful website.
